Edward (Ed) Bunce has been at OGEN coming up on six years!

The dream started at a strange place of work, the bonus room of Ben’s house as we both dutifully worked at defining what OGEN would be as a physical company before Phase 1 was constructed. Ed is OGEN employee #2, and he has worked hard through thin, difficult and good times on making, then Bloom Cultivation now OGEN, the company OGEN is today. These have been some wild, colourful, and eventful, never boring years.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH OGEN?

Officially, it will be 6 years in June 2023. I am employee #2 at OGEN. Unofficially, I was hired as a Contractor to assist with reviewing the initial documents (Site Security Plan, Validation Protocols, SOP’s etc) in early 2015.

‍WHAT DREW YOU INTO THE INDUSTRY AND HOW WAS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CANNABIS?

‍My boss (Employee #1 at OGEN) reached out to me to ask if I was interested in helping him review/prepare the initial document required for OGEN (then Bloom Cultivation) to receive their initial License to Produce (Grow).

HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR DAYS OFF?

‍I am a huge TV / Videophile. I enjoy streaming / watching new and interesting shows.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY AT OGEN LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?

As administrator of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System, I am always busy ensuring the ERP System is aligned with all of the processes / new products etc. As we continue to grow and expand our product base this keeps me extremely busy.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANY SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

‍The ability to fly would be awesome. It would make the daily commute so much better!
